Let's deal with the obvious worry first: an AI coach sounds like something that replaces you. Most of them are. This one is built the other way round — it only works if it sounds like you, programmes like you, and knows what to send back to you.
You teach it your method once. Your voice, your cues, your movements, your rules, and the things it must never advise on. Then it coaches your clients your way in the 166 hours a week you aren't with them — and hands anything that's genuinely yours straight back to you.
Six things you set once, in about fifteen minutes, that turn a generic AI coach into an extension of how you already work.
01 · YOUR VOICE
Pick your register — warm, direct, technical, blunt — then give it the things you actually say. How you mark a good week. How you call out a missed one. Clients hear their coach between sessions, not a chatbot doing an impression of one.
02 · YOUR PHILOSOPHY
Write how you coach in your own words — “I don’t do crash deficits”, “technique before load, every time” — and the AI works from it rather than reciting it. Your standards apply on the days you’re not there.
03 · YOUR CUES
Add the cue you give for a Romanian deadlift and that is exactly what your client reads at 7am on a Tuesday. The specific phrasing your clients repeat back to you years later is the thing that makes coaching yours. It should not be replaced by generic form notes.
04 · YOUR MOVEMENTS
A deny list it cannot write around, the movements you favour, and your standard substitutions. If a client asks for something you don’t use, it tells them it isn’t part of your approach and offers your alternative instead of overruling you.
05 · YOUR METHOD
Upper/lower four days, double progression, compounds in fives, deload every sixth week — whatever your model is, every plan the AI writes or edits follows it. Your programming, at a volume you could never write by hand.
06 · YOUR FOOD
Your nutrition approach, your protein targets, your rules on alcohol and shakes and carb timing, and your own meals seeded into the planner. Clients get food advice that matches what you told them in person.
The fastest way an AI damages a coaching relationship is contradicting the coach. Every one of these exists to make sure that can't happen.
STAY IN YOUR LANE
Tick the topics it must route back to you — injuries, technique, programme changes, nutrition. On those it says plainly that it’s one for you and sends them to your next session. It does not hedge and it does not answer halfway, because a hedge is still an answer and it undermines you.
NOTHING GOES OUT UNSEEN
Optional, and off by default. Switch it on and every new training plan waits for your sign-off — your client keeps their current plan until you approve it. For the trainers who want nothing reaching a client they haven’t read.
NO SURPRISES
The full coach conversation for every client. You will never be blindsided by “but the app said”, and you can spot a client asking questions they haven’t brought to you.
SAFETY YOU CAN’T SWITCH OFF
You shape how the coaching sounds and how it programmes. You cannot switch off the guardrails — minimum safe weights, deferring anything medical to a clinician, and never a word about a client’s body or worth. That protects your clients and it protects your name on the work.
AFTER EVERY SESSION
“Right shoulder tight — nothing overhead this week.” Write it, pick how long it lasts, and the AI follows it as an instruction until it expires. It picks up where you left off instead of guessing, and your client feels like you were in the room.
SUNDAY CHECK-INS
The AI writes the weekly check-in from their actual numbers, in your voice. You edit it and it lands in their thread under your name — not ours. Two hours of Sunday admin becomes ten minutes, and the client experiences it as your work, because it is.
PER-CLIENT RULES
Layer rules on any individual — a bad back, night shifts on Thursdays, a movement they will simply never do. Those win over your defaults for that person and nobody else.
THE DASHBOARD
Sessions done, food-log days, steps, weight trend, streak, last check-in verdict — with a flag on anyone who’s gone quiet, so you message the right person before drift becomes a cancellation.
BOUNDARIES
Clients see exactly what you will and won’t see before they link, and can unlink whenever they want. Their private chats with the coach and their progress photos stay theirs. You get the numbers that matter to coaching and nothing that doesn’t.
HOW YOUR CLIENTS ARE BILLED
Invite a client on the trainer rate and they pay £7.99 a month instead of £12.99 — £5 a month less, and it costs you nothing. Or cover it yourself at £7.99 and they are never asked for a card, so you can fold it into what they already pay you and they have one payment instead of two. It is set per client, not per trainer, so you can run both at once and change your mind whenever. Your own Motivaite account is free either way.
THE HONEST BIT
We won't pretend otherwise — most of our members don't have a trainer, and the product is built to get them results on its own. If we told you different, you'd rightly stop reading.
What that means for you is simpler than it sounds. Your clients are already paying for the hour with you because of what you bring — the eye on their technique, the plan you built for their body, the person who notices when something's off. A tool that keeps them logging on a Wednesday doesn't compete with that. It protects it, by making sure the work you did on Monday is still standing on Friday.
Tell us a little about your client base and we'll come back with how the partnership works, which billing option suits you, and a code that gets you set up in minutes. No pitch deck, no pressure — straight answers.
Partner trainers get the badge for their site — it tells clients you coach with proper infrastructure between sessions, and it links them straight to where sign-up happens. Copy the snippet, paste it anywhere HTML goes.
